Mogadishu, Somalia — The Electronic Somali Sports Federation (ESSF) announces that the Eagle Claws PUBG team has officially resigned from their slot to represent Somalia at the forthcoming International Esports Federation (IESF) African Regional Online Qualifier, scheduled to take place on 28–29 July 2025.
In a formal letter to ESSF leadership, the Eagle Claws team cited ongoing internal challenges that have hindered their ability to adequately prepare for international competition. Key players have been unable to consistently attend training sessions, resulting in communication and coordination breakdowns. The team expressed their belief that stepping aside was the most responsible choice in order to allow a more prepared team to proudly represent Somalia on the international stage.
