The Electronic Somali Sports Federation (ESSF), founded in 2021, aims to develop esports in Somalia. Its mission is to help Somali athletes compete successfully in local and international tournaments while promoting integrity and sportsmanship.

The International Esports Federation (IESF), is a non-profit, organization dedicated to the development and governance of esports. Founded in 2008, IESF currently has 151 member countries across all continents, working to create a unified and sustainable esports ecosystem through structured competitions and collaborative initiatives.
IESF organizes the World Esports Championships (WEC), the most prestigious global competition across multiple game titles, and the Esports Conference, an annual gathering in Korea where industry leaders discuss key developments in esports.
ESSF has been an official member of IESF since April 2022. The IESF member countries can be found on the official website.
