The International Esports Federation (IESF) successfully concluded its 17th Ordinary General Meeting (OGM) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, held alongside the 17th World Esports Championship Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Finals. Member federations from across the globe convened to review the federation’s annual progress, deliberate on key governance matters, adopt member-submitted motions, and participate in the 10th IESF Elections, marking a significant milestone in the organization’s institutional development.
During the election session, Vlad Marinescu was re-elected as the 10th President of the International Esports Federation, securing his second term in office. His re-election reflects the continued confidence of the global membership in his leadership and long-term vision for the sustainable growth of the World of Esports.

Throughout the assembly, delegates reviewed and discussed strategic priorities for the year ahead, including the strengthening of governance frameworks, the expansion of athlete development initiatives, and the enhancement of international cooperation among member federations. Voting on submitted motions underscored the collective commitment to integrity, professionalism, and institutional maturity across the global esports ecosystem.
The General Assembly also elected the IESF Board for the 2026 term, comprising the following members:

The Somali Esports Federation (ESSF) was represented at the 17th Ordinary General Meeting by its General Secretary, Mr. Abdilahi Abdirashid, who participated through a hybrid online format. His participation reaffirmed ESSF’s active engagement in IESF governance processes and its ongoing commitment to contributing to the global development and institutional strengthening of esports.
