Mogadishu, Somalia – The Electronic Somali Sports Federation (ESSF), in collaboration with the PUBG Mobile Somalia community, proudly hosted a special dinner to honor DK Esports, a Somali team set to represent the nation at the PUBG Mobile Africa Championship (PMAC) in Nairobi, Kenya, from 11–13 September 2025.
The dinner served as a show of support and encouragement for the team as they prepare to compete on the continental stage.
During the event, ESSF President, Mr. Said Abdullahi, extended his best wishes to DK Esports, emphasizing the Federation’s commitment to nurturing Somali esports talent and showcasing the country’s potential internationally.
ESSF General Secretary, Mr. Abdilahi Abdirashid, also addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of teamwork, dedication, and discipline in achieving success in esports.
In addition, Mr. Mohamud Mohamed, Director of Esports Development and PUBG Mobile Somalia community manager, underscored the crucial role of the Somali gaming community in supporting players and building a sustainable esports ecosystem in the country.
The dinner concluded with words of motivation and unity, reflecting the shared vision of empowering Somali youth through esports and providing them with platforms to shine on regional and global stages.
